Several times a year, window transforms into a showcase space where artists are invited to display their projects.
The concept is simple: by using the “window” as a point of encounter, the gallery makes art visible to a wide audience. In this way, it lowers the threshold for artistic presentation, while offering artists valuable visibility and engagement.
With each edition, Window Gallery aims to highlight diverse voices and perspectives, creating moments of discovery and exchange. It is a space that connects the studio, the street, and the community through art.
wIm hrmns (Neerpelt, °1981) founded his creative universe byWM in 2015, nurtured by a strong connection with the performing arts – from concerts and theatre to ballet. As a photographer, he captures the intensity of the moment: the interplay of light and movement, the tension between silence and explosion. Always searching for the intersection where artistic expression and documentation meet.
As a visual artist, he explores the interaction between colour, moving image and light, placing emphasis on the tactile.
By combining various media and techniques, wIm translates the rhythm and colour of video into visual compositions that are both tactile and naïvely still.
To wIm, video mixers are instruments with which he manipulates photographs and graphic visuals into unique images. The technical limitations and analogue nature of these tools encourage creative improvisation and form the essence of an experimental, intuitive process.
The works on display are taken from the video Rational Simplicity (2024), a work inspired by Johannes Itten’s theory of colour. Each title functions as a coordinate on the video’s timeline, marking the exact moment the image was captured.
Each visual is unique and will never be reproduced.
Although every work stands on its own, they remain intrinsically connected to the video – and to one another.
This sense of connection extends to the owners: anyone who holds a print shares a lasting relationship with the complete work and with the other owners.
This forms a subtle network of shared time, image, and involvement.

wIm hrmns (Neerpelt, °1981) richtte in 2015 zijn creatieve universum byWM op, gedreven door een diepe verbondenheid met de podiumkunsten – van concerten en theater tot ballet.
Als fotograaf legt hij de intensiteit van het moment vast: het samenspel van licht en beweging, de spanning tussen stilte en explosie. Altijd op zoek naar het snijpunt waar artistieke expressie en documentatie elkaar ontmoeten.
Als beeldend kunstenaar onderzoekt hij de dialoog tussen kleur, bewegend beeld en licht, met een focus op het tastbare. Door verschillende media en technieken te combineren, vertaalt wIm het ritme en de kleuren van video naar visuele composities die zowel tastbaar als rustig stil zijn.
Voor wIm zijn videomixers instrumenten waarmee hij foto’s en grafische beelden manipuleert tot unieke beelden. De analoge aard en technische beperkingen van deze tools nodigen uit tot creatieve improvisatie en vormen de kern van een experimenteel en intuïtief proces.
De tentoongestelde werken zijn afgeleid van de video Rational Simplicity (2024), geïnspireerd op de kleurnleer van Johannes Itten. Elke titel fungeert als een coördinaat op de tijdlijn van de video, die het exacte moment markeert waarop het beeld werd vastgelegd.
Elk beeld is uniek en zal nooit worden gereproduceerd. Hoewel elk werk op zichzelf staat, blijven alle werken intrinsiek verbonden met de video – en met elkaar. Deze verbondenheid strekt zich uit tot de eigenaars: wie een print bezit, maakt deel uit van een subtiel netwerk van gedeelde tijd, beeld en betrokkenheid.
